MBTI
The Myers-Briggs personality type indicator (MBTI)
revealed that I am Extroverted, Intuitive, Thinking, and Perceiving (ENTP) and
my Interest Profiler supported this by revealing my two greatest strengths in
social and enterprising. After taking both assessments and reading about their
results, I was intrigued and motivated to work on the aspects of my behavior
that the assessments revealed to me.
As an ENTP personality type, I have a natural desire to seek the highest possible understanding of myself. Two characteristics of the ENTP are first a desire to understand the world around them and second, the ability to quickly conceptualize all possibilities for a given situation and then using strategic analysis to find the best possible approach to that situation. I find that I am a very good problem solver in this respect; and moreover, I am able to understand why I am a good problem solver because of the result of my MBTI.
ENTP's are also "idea people." They have the ability to come up with very unique ideas that make them invaluable in the work place and in addition, they are able to get people excited about the ideas that they have. Unfortunately, however, ENTP's are not persistent. This is the area in which they lack the most. They tend to get caught up in their next big idea which makes them susceptible to incomplete jobs. Knowing this, I am happy to say that I can now make a more concentrated effort in being more consistent. Thank you MBTI!

Interest Profiler
The interest Profiler only confirmed the result of my MBTI. It revelead my two biggest strengths in social and enterprising. I am a social person and, as aforementioned, love to get people excited about my ideas, which in turn helps me in my enterprising. I can come up with unique ideas which makes me enterprising. I know enough about myself that I can realize I am inventive. The way I approach thinking is much different than my peers and/or my family. I have always been recognized in this way, but was never able to see the value in it until now. Thankfully, I am able to see the value and therefore build upon and strengthen these characteristics of myself so that I can be the most successful person I can be.
In Conclusion
In conclusion, I believe that both of these assessments reveal that I should be an independent worker. My MBTI said that ENTP's can pursue any career in which they are passionate and I would have to agree. Throughout my life i have wished to pursue careers in anything from teaching to research scientists to a lawyer. Essentially, I think that my assessments only give me confidence in that I should do whatever I am passionate about. I am excited to say that I will spend my life "Living to work" instead of "working to live."
